A NIGHT TO REMEMBER: Nearly 300 attendees loved it. "Emily Then and Now," the 95th anniversary gala for Emily Griffith Technical College, took place on September 9. The Seawell Grand Ballroom at Denver Performing Arts Complex sparkled with purple ceiling lights, colorful spotlights, chamber music from Local Color, high-energy music from the Moses Jones band, dual screen movies depicting historical and contemporary scenes, and inspiring speakers who informed and entertained.
SILENT ACTION SENSATION: Happy shoppers scooped up silent auction bargains on helicopter rides, artwork, luggage, trips and discounts on popular services. By the evening's end, the Foundation took in more than $10,000 from silent auction item sales.
