SCHOLARSHIPS HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED

Walcott Family Members celebrate with scholarship recipients. This March, Robin Walcott and her husband,Tom Hartley, met with 10 Emily Griffith Opportunity School students who received Walcott scholarships in 2009 and 2010. Robin's sister, Dr. Callae Walcott-Rounds and her husband, Dr. Ed Rounds, have provided scholarship funds for hundreds of hard-working students pursuing technical education programs from automotive techncian to welding.

MAKING EDUCATION POSSIBLE

Since the foundation was established in 1990, it has awarded more than $1,650,000 in scholarships to students at Emily Griffith Technical College.

To continue Emily Griffith’s philosophy of providing education “ for all who wish to learn,” the Foundation encourages students who need scholarship help to contact a school counselor for a referral.

How to Apply

To qualify for a Foundation scholarship, a student must complete an application and demonstrate financial need. You need to contact a student advisor by calling 720-423-4712 to schedule an appointment or email Lydia Melvin.

Emily Griffith Technical College advisors will coordinate your education experience and tell you about financial aid opportunities.
